Bantam Jeep Sculptures on Sale Now

On May 9, 2012 by Administrator

Seventy-two Bantam Jeep sculptures will undergo decorating and transformation at the hands of area artists and individuals.  The sculptures are 4 feet tall by 8 feet long by 4 inches deep and cost $250 each.  Patterened after similar public art projects such as Pittsburgh’s Dinosaurs, Erie’s Fish and Cleveland’s Guitars – the Bantam Jeep Community Art Project features a wooden, two-dimensional relief sculpture that depicts a BRC-40 Bantam Jeep.  This icon was selected to promote Butler’s proud heritage of transportation and automobile history.

The Bantam Jeep Community Art Project is designed to build awareness throughout Butler County of the 72nd year of the Bantam Jeep and to build excitement for the 2nd annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival.  This Butler Downtown fundraiser hopes to boost community spirit while promoting the arts.
