Main Street Manager PDF Print E-mail

The Main Street Manager coordinates all aspects of the commercial revitalizaiton process, with considerable independent judgment and initiative, under the guidance of the board of directors.  With the help of four volunteer committees, the Manager is responsible for:

  • Organizing downtown interests in a unified manner
  • Working towards common-end objectives
  • Approaching design issues as a means to create or preserve an attractive physical setting
  • Coordinating promotional activities to attract new economic life and develop new vigor in the Butler community
  • Structuring economic opportunities
  • Attracting new business opportunities
  • Developing viable marketplace enterprises

Butler's Main Street Manager is Chelynne Curci. She began her role here in January 2012.

Chelynne has her B.S. in Business Management from Grove City College, and her M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College, both in Pennsylvania.  She has approximately two years experience working and volunteering with Butler Downtown as the Promotions Chair.

Chelynne believes in the value and opportunities that our downtown core district holds.  The success of the Main Street program in other communities all around the United States is evidence that not only is there interest in bringing these areas back to life, but also that the program's approach to revitalization is dedicated to help sustain communities' efforts into the Twenty-first century.
