Christmas Caroler Volunteers Needed
Tuesday, 20 September 2011 10:15

The holiday season is fast approaching and Butler Downtown is preparing several activities to make this year the best yet. One of these activities will be Christmas Caroling.

To get the City of Butler and the community in the holiday spirit, Butler Downtown is planning to have Christmas Carolers sing on Main Street on Saturdays beginning November 19 through December 24, 2011. The caroling will be every Saturday for 1 or 2 hour intervals between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteers to carol are needed for this activity.

Alone or in groups, anyone can volunteer to create some holiday cheer. In need of some volunteer hours for a student organization or club? What better way to earn them by singing "Joy to the World?" Church groups, local business groups and community clubs are all welcome to volunteer. Students, parents, teachers, singers, dancers, bankers, secretaries, presidents, cashiers or mechanics; no matter what your title is, you can volunteer to sing too.

A schedule is available for those interested in signing-up for a 1 or 2 hour interval. Carolers can stroll the streets or perform in front of the Penn Theater. Butler Downtown is aware that weather will be a factor as the temperatures drop and snow begins to fall but as long as the weather permits, we will continue with this activity.
